While this version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas helped modernize the game, many fans were not happy with Grove Street Games' approach, criticizing the art style and laundry list of technical problems. Considering the problems with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas — The Definitive Edition, there are fans who would like to see a proper remake of the game.
In that spirit, YouTube channel TeaserPlay has created a concept video showing what a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas remake could look like if it were built using Unreal Engine 5. The video itself is a recreation of the famous Big Smoke's order scene. For those who may not be familiar with the scene, an early section of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has the character Big Smoke making a comically large order from a fast food restaurant drive-thru. It's one of the most iconic scenes from San Andreas, and now fans can see the scene remade in Unreal Engine 5.

The Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas concept video shows some of the game's main characters rebuilt with Unreal Engine 5, including CJ, Ryder, Sweet, and of course, Big Smoke. It's not an action-heavy trailer, but it does show what these characters would look like with more realistic graphics. After Big Smoke makes his order, the camera pulls back to show the rear of the car, and if this were a playable build, players would then be able to drive off into the open world.
Rockstar Games has not indicated that it has any plans to remake Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, so GTA fans will have to make due
