An open world Game of Thrones game may or may not ever come to pass, but in the meantime, fans can get an idea of what one could look like thanks to the latest video from TeaserPlay. TeaserPlay is a YouTube channel that creates concept videos for hypothetical video game projects, usually showing what these projects could look like if they were made using Unreal Engine 5. TeaserPlay's latest shows an open world Game of Thrones, taking clear inspiration from later seasons of the TV show.

The video includes some impressive character models of Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Sansa Stark, and others. It seemingly recreates some shots and scenes from the last couple of seasons of the TV series, while showing huge valleys, a dragon, weather effects, and some interior environments. Parts of it look somewhat reminiscent of Bethesda's Skyrim.
While none of the Game of Thrones video games have been proper open world adventures as depicted in this TeaserPlay video, there have been various games based on the franchise released over the years. Telltale made its own Game of Thrones game, though Season 2 was canceled, and in 2012, Cyanide made a Game of Thrones action-RPG that earned mixed reviews.
