YouTuber JPC-ArchViz has created an impressive Unreal Engine 5 video imagining what a Grand Theft Auto game based on San Francisco might look like. Numerous Unreal Engine 5 videos have hit the Internet since Epic Games made the powerful creation tool readily available, and with Rockstar Games still keeping Grand Theft Auto 6 under wraps, many have been inspired by Rockstar's open world action franchise.
The video shows a version of San Francisco inspired by the Grand Theft Auto aesthetic. It shows large crowds, recognizable San Francisco landmarks, impressive lighting effects, and more. Of course, the actual Grand Theft Auto 6 will most likely be developed using Rockstar's RAGE engine, which Rockstar has been using to make its games since the 2006 release of Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis, but it's an interesting hypothetical concept video nevertheless.

The Grand Theft Auto series features fictional cities, but each one is inspired by real-life locations. For instance, Grand Theft Auto 4's Liberty City is based on New York City, while Vice City is inspired by Miami. Grand Theft Auto 5's Los Santos is based on Los Angeles, with the state of San Andreas taking its cues from California. San Fierro, another city in San Andreas, is inspired by San Francisco, so fans have already seen Rockstar's take on it. Even so, it's interesting to see the city recreated in Unreal Engine 5.
Grand Theft Auto 6, the next game in the long-running franchise, will almost certainly not be set in San Francisco. In fact, it's believed that the game will be set on the complete opposite side of the country. Rockstar Games has not revealed anything official about Grand Theft Auto 6
