Ed Sheeran is releasing a Pokémon collaboration song next week

Ed Sheeran has announced that he will release a new song in collaboration with The Pokémon Company next week.Titled ‘Celestial’, the song will be released on September 29 on all major music streaming platforms.

Sheeran posted a brief clip of the song, which he sang surrounded by Pokémon plush toys, on his YouTube channel earlier this week.Artwork for the single, which features Ed and a crudely-drawn Pikachu, has also been revealed.While this may seem like a strange collaboration to some, the Grammy award-winning musician is actually a huge fan of the Pokémon franchise.Ahead of the Pokémon World Championships in London earlier this year, Ed recorded a message for attendees.
