Sam LaRusso's romantic endeavors got an uncertain ending in season 4, but Cobra Kai season 5 holds a promising future for her, based on some interesting developments that Mary Mouser (who plays Sam) has teased regarding her character's future with Robby Keene. History repeats itself in Cobra Kai season 5 when underdog Eli stuns everyone by landing an All-Valley Tournament win for Daniel LaRusso's Miyagi Do. However, it is not all sunshine and rainbows for Daniel's team since Terry Silver uses his evil prowess to still have the upper hand over Miyagi Do. Owing to these brewing rivalries, many characters find themselves at odds with one another all over again. Meanwhile, others like Robby and Miguel find their way back home, both literally and metaphorically.
Sam's arc takes an interesting turn toward the ending of Cobra Kai season 4. Instead of sticking to her father's defensive combat style, she hones her offensive skills by accepting Johnny as her sensei and adopting some of his Eagle Fang moves. While her karate skills grow from strength to strength, her complex relationships with Robby, Miguel, and Tory spiral into turmoil. She turns salty about Robby and Tory pairing up but refuses to acknowledge it to Miguel. On the other hand, Miguel, too, seems to grow apart when he decides to leave for Mexico in the season's closing moments. Sam's complicated love triangle has left fans divided, and it is hard not to wonder who she will eventually end up with.
