Chivalry 2, the first-person medieval combat multiplayer game, has been met with considerable success following its 2021 release, but the game isn't without its faults. Its main asymmetric game mode, Team Objective, features different tasks depending on which faction the player opts into, and it would seem that one map in particular will need significant changes in this respect before it's playable.
Indeed, the developers of Chivalry 2 have now announced that the previously popular Coxwell map would be taken out of active rotation and temporarily removed from the game while it undergoes proper objective scaling and an extra tuning pass. Up until now, the objectives leaned heavily towards the Agatha faction, which meant an easy win for them in most cases.

Though Coxwell was one of Chivalry 2's best maps across most game modes, its objectives have been heavily skewed in one faction's favor for quite some time now. According to the developer's blog post, there was an error in the manner in which the company collected statistical data about gameplay on Coxwell, which in turn resulted in poor objective balancing between the two factions and subsequently one of them being wildly more successful. The issue was particularly noteworthy in the final stage of Coxwell, and the developers are thankful that the community brought these problems to light.
The blog post also detailed a few of the potential changes coming to Coxwell in the future, once it's returned to the active rotation. Spawn timers and kill counts are both likely to get tweaked and certain objectives may end up scalable with the number of active players in a given match.
