An example they bring up is the Aron line, which evolves into Lairon and then into Aggron, and all three carry the duo type of Rock and Steel. They point out that Aggron loses the Rock-type during its Mega Evolution and states the line could drop the Rock-typing altogether and be considered a pure Steel-type. Aggron is considered one of the bulkiest Pokemon from the generation three class and one of the better Steel-types in the game at the time of its release.
