It's been a week of controversy for Apex Legends, but the free-to-play battle royale was back in the Top Ten this week on Steam.
The title was the ninth best-performing game of the week thanks to the new Void Reckoning limited event which made its debut on July 23rd. This all comes among a week of negative press for Apex Legends thanks to the changes Respawn planned to make around the title's battle pass; the studio has since walked back these tweaks.
The rest of the Steam Top Ten is much the same as it was the week before; Counter-Strike 2 once again takes the lead, while battle royale hit PUBG: Battlegrounds comes in at second place.
Valve's Steam Deck rose up two places to third, coming in ahead of Nexon's The First Descendant, which drops one position to fourth.
MOBA megahit Dota 2 also falls one place to No.5, while Elden Ring hangs steady once more in sixth place.
Narka: Bladepoint returned to the Top Ten, up from No.12 to seventh, performing better than Call of Duty thanks to Season Five of content for Modern Warfare 3. Multiplayer survival game Once Human rounds off the charts in tenth, down from last week's No.7.
Here is the Steam Top Ten for the week ending July 30th:
