Turbo Golf Racing has been in early access on PC and Xbox for a good while, but now it finally has a release date for the proper, 1.0 version launch. It's arriving on 4th April 2024, when it will also be making its debut on PS5.
To recap, the game shares quite a few similarities to Rocket League, only instead of tiny vehicles playing football, they're playing a racing/golf mashup. Each player has an oversized golf ball they need to punt into the hole at the end of each course, and it's a race to do so. Various power-ups can help you, or hinder others, along the way, making for a fast-paced and chaotic multiplayer title.
As well as the main mode, you can also compete in time trials and 1v1 golf, which is closer to the real thing (but still with rocket-powered cars). As the above trailer states, there are over 80 levels to conquer, so it's not short on things to see and do. Additionally, you'll unlock cosmetic items for both your vehicle and your golf ball, which is always fun, isn't it?

Looks more like racing with one giant, rolling obstacle. Without it being more open, and prone to slices and hooks, it just looks generic. Reminds me of the clones of <insert any racing game>.
This was my most played game of 2023 hands down. I did about 2 hours every day on this.
Games like this just make me continually question why can't we have a modern, pure vehicular combat game, like Vigilante 8 or Twisted Metel?
