Celebrate Old School RuneScape's 10th Anniversary With Cake and New Cosmetics
Old School RuneScape is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Expect to be taken back in the event, and the chance to grab some new cosmetics. Ten of them.
When it comes to the legacy of RuneScape, part of that legacy is, of course,Old School RuneScape. The community wanted it and has shaped it all for the past 10 years. So what can we expect for the big anniversary? Cake.
More specifically, a cake-off that Party Pete is hosting in the party room. Expect a number of important and memorable guests, from King Roald to Gnome Child and more. The order for all of them is to bring cake. This is where you come in, since the cook’s assistant runs into competitions and Gielinor needs some cake.
According to Mod Other, on this, their first event: “I knew it would be difficult to capture 10 years of Old School in a way that did it justice. Then I thought, what better way to do it than bring us back to where it all began? This 10th birthday event is a real feel-good story, so you'll hopefully be walking away with a smile on your face… and some top-tier cosmetics in your hands!”
Those cosmetics in question were, what else, community influenced. There are 10 rewards for the years being celebrated here. If you complete the event, which is open from now through March 15th, you’ll get every one of the special items. Naturally, there’s a cape.
The team will also have a special livestream celebration tomorrow, February 23rd at 16:00 GMT / 11 AM EST to play through the event, share stories, and answer questions.
