Cause Without a Rebel Questline in Patch 10.1 (Story Spoilers)
In Patch 10.1, a new side story has been added involving rebelling dragonkin. We did the questline and bring you all the details!
WARNING: Minor Patch 10.1 spoilers ahead!This questline involves the rebel dragonkin seen below Valdrakken, leading to a resolution to that conflict. The questline starts with Captain Drine, on the top floor of the Seat of the Aspects. You will be sent to the second level of the Seat of the Aspects, with Alexstrasza meeting with a dragonkin named Maldra Flametongue. Players who completed the Misty Vale storyline of the Sojourner of Thaldraszus achievement will be familiar with Maldra — She leaves Valdrakken to side with a rebelling Dragonkin force, feeling that the Dragonkin left to tend to the Dragon Isles while the Dragons were absent were being treated like mere servants. As they're talking, a Valdrakken Investigator arrives with bad news — Explosives are being stockpiled by the Valdrakken Aqueducts.
Maldra:… so when I saw we were hurting other dragonkin, I knew I was on the wrong side. Alexstrasza: But what drew you to their cause? You do not seem dishonorable. Maldra: No, it was honor that drew me to the cause. The treatment of dragonkin seemed… dishonorable. Maldra: We cared for this land for centuries without the dragons, but were reduced to mere servants when you returned. Maldra: So I joined the rebels because we had been pushed aside, expected to serve as though the dragons had never left. Alexstrasza: Investigator Erima? What do you have to report? Investigator Erima says: The rebels are stockpiling explosives beneath the city to collapse the aqueduct! Alexstrasza: Explosives! In my home?
