While it is no secret that Captain Marvel is one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe, it seems as though she could be on the verge of becoming even stronger after she unwittingly made herself a candidate to become a new Iron Fist.
Carol Danvers was born to a Kree mother and a human father, and she became the hero Captain Marvel after a Kree device activated her latent powers which include photon blasts, energy manipulation, flight, super strength, speed, stamina, and self-sustenance. Since then, Captain Marvel has embarked on countless incredibly dangerous adventures both on Earth alongside the Avengers and in outer space fighting intergalactic threats too deadly for nearly anyone else to handle.

In Captain Marvel #38 by Kelly Thompson, Juan Frigeri, and Álvaro López, Carol Danvers is trapped in another dimension after she disappeared into a bright flash of blinding light in the previous issue. Though Captain Marvel's 'sister' Binary is taking over, Carol is a bit lost. In this strange new world, Carol has seemingly created a life for herself, living in a modest cabin in the middle of a rocky, barren landscape. While taking a load off in her new home, Carol is approached by a friend of hers, an alien life form named Ravka, who tells Carol that there is a dragon on the loose and her assistance is needed to slay it. So, Captain Marvel grabs a monstrous sword she obtained upon entering this new world and makes the trek towards the dragon’s location.
