star Tim Blake Nelson has noted that people will enjoy the appearance of his take on the Marvel villain The Leader.
While speaking to Comic Book Movie, the actor was asked about his experience playing Leader in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. He told the outlet that he thinks people will be “pretty excited” about how the character looks, as well as what he says and does throughout the film.
“Really excited. I had a great time filming it,” Nelson stated. “And [I] worked with the Marvel team and this wonderful makeup artist named David Atherton with whom I’ve collaborated on a dozen movies now … I think people are going to be pretty excited about what this guy looks like. And what he has to say and what he does. All power to the amazing team over there at Marvel.”
The film will see Anthony Mackie reprise his role as Sam Wilson, who took over as Captain America for Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) following the events of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Also starring in Captain America: Brave New World are Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Shira Haas as Sabra, Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, and Liv Tyler as Betty Ross.
Captain America: Brave New World will be released in United States theaters on February 14, 2025, from Marvel Studios.
