Destiny 2's The Witch Queen came with many new features and items for players to toy with, and one of the expansion's major selling points was the fact that players could craft their own weapons and customize them as they please. While gunplay is a key component of the gameplay flow in all game modes, Bungie has been taking Destiny 2 more in the direction of buildcrafting, allowing players to experiment with several items, mods, and subclasses to create a playstyle that fits their needs.
One of the main ways to change how the game is played is by using Exotics, which have unique perks that either modify existing abilities or add completely new ones. The Witch Queen's Exotic items are many, and while some of them are fantastic additions to Destiny 2, others didn't quite hit the mark upon release and need further work to become viable. This includes the Exotic glaives, for example, but also the Blight Ranger Exotic helm for the Hunter, which is very bad on its own, but it became very popular because of a recent glitch.

What Blight Ranger does is massively increase the damage players can reflect back to the enemies with the Arcstrider's Whirlwind Guard ability, making it extremely subpar in all game modes. However, players quickly noticed that Blight Ranger could reflect player damage times five back to the enemy if the Super was activated quickly enough, which translated into instances where a single Parasite shot with twenty stacks of Worm's Hunger would deal over a million damage, instead.
