Blizzard has shared a short video featuring Game Producer George Velev discussing how player feedback informs decisions on class changes for the recent Mage class combat updates in Patch 10.1.5! The short video discusses the design intent of changes such as the removal of familiar abilities like Rune of Power in order to make movement and rotations less restrictive, and how community feedback is used to come to those decisions.
Although tuning is also noted as an important part of this process, they may have overshot the mark in this round of updates, particularly in combination with the new Augmentation Evoker specialization, as Blizzard also noted today that all three Mage specializations would be receiving nerfs with the next weekly reset.
