Microsoft is rolling out a new update to all Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles that brings with it an overhauled new interface. The new UI, according to the announcement by Microsoft, aims to make it easier for players to manage their game libraries and get a more customised experience.
The biggest thing about the new UI is the amount of free space in the home screen. Players can enable an option to change the background in the large free space to match the game they’ve currently highlighted in their recently played list. The UI also makes it easy to go into the full library, as well as the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, Search, and Setting, with the four buttons being available at the very top of the screen.
Scrolling down on the home screen reveals more options, like a cluster containing pinned games and apps. Further down the home screen we see the Friends & Community Updates panel, allowing players to keep up with the social aspects of online gaming.
The new home screen was first released to Xbox Insiders back in May.
