Back in June, it was confirmed that Scorn would be releasing for PS5 after being a timed console exclusive on Xbox Series X|S. Now, it has been confirmed that Scorn will be available on PS5 from October 3rd, with a new trailer dropping during Future Games Show. A Scorn Deluxe Edition is available for pre-order, containing the game, a steelbook, digital artbook, and the soundtrack.
The description for Scorn reads, “Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry. It is designed around the idea of “being thrown into the world”. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself.”
In our Scorn review, Steve said, “Scorn is clearly a labour of grotesque love, feeling unlike almost any other game out there. The alien are satisfying, the lack of handholding adds to the sense of a hostile world, and the nihilistic drive of the game in subjecting your character to further degradation really makes it stand out. It is a game that will live long in the memory, but it is the very definition of a divisive experience.”
