Build-A-Bear Reveals Its Squishmallow-Like Skoosherz Line
Squishmallows are the must-have toy in the plush world and have been for a while, and they don't have a rival. That might be about to change. Famous for letting its customers create and customize their own soft toys, Build-A-Bear has launched a new line of plushes similar to Squishmallows, but with their own Build-A-Bear twist. They're called Skoosherz, and the first five are available right now for less in preparation for Nation Hug Day later this month.
Skoosherz are quite a bit different from regular Build-A-Bear plushes, the key difference being they're a lot more spherical. All soft toys are great for hugging, of course, but a Skoosher aims to take that to the next level. That's why Build-A-Bear is launching them in time for National Hug Day on January 21. There are five designs to choose from in this initial lineup, headlined by the brand's famous Axolotl. The regular version of the Axolotl plush was a finalist for toy of the year, and now the smiling pink mascot has been plumped up and turned into one of the very first Skoosherz.
