Unarguably one of the strongest warriors within the Dragon Ball universe is Broly as he is what’s known as a Legendary Super Saiyan and can harness energy that can match that of Super Saiyan God, and even conceivably surpass it. While Broly’s Legendary form is incredibly impressive, the fighter has revealed that he can tap into another fan-favorite Saiyan form that has been completely erased from Dragon Ball canon–and his inclusion in the current continuity teases the return of an epic transformation fans thought was gone forever.
Broly is a character with a bit of a muddled past with Dragon Ball canon as he made his first appearance in the film Dragon Ball Z: Broly — The Legendary Super Saiyan with two subsequent films continuing his storyline. While those films were entertaining, they aren’t technically canon. However, with the film Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Broly was brought into Dragon Ball canon by creator Akira Toriyama himself with his previously established power-level completely intact, if not a tad more powerful than they were initially–meaning his other appearances throughout other Dragon Ball-related media could hold just as much merit in the current continuity as well.
