Norman Reedus teases which characters from The Walking Dead audiences can expect to show up in the upcoming Daryl spinoff. First introduced back in 2010 in the first season of AMC's The Walking Dead, Reedus' Daryl Dixon quickly became a fan favorite. The crossbow-wielding survivor is one of the longest-lasting characters still on the show, alongside Melissa McBride's Carol. The Walking Dead is now on its eleventh and final season, the second part of which concluded earlier this year in April. A release date for the third and final part has yet to be confirmed.
Although The Walking Dead may be coming to an end, it's already been confirmed that a number of spinoff shows are in the works. In addition to a Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) spinoff, Isle of the Dead, it was also confirmed that Daryl and Carol would return in another, currently untitled series. McBride later exited the show in order to spend more time with her family, citing the spinoff's European filming location as a key reason. Details regarding the Daryl-focused Walking Dead series remain hard to come by, but it has been described as lighter in tone than the main show.
