Riot has been at the center of controversy on matters of gender discrimination for the better part of a decade, but the company has now finally been given a fine. Something to the order of $100 million in fact. The lawyer working for the plaintiffs Genie Harrison previously described how “this is a great day for the women of Riot Games and for women at all video game and tech companies who deserve a workplace that is free of harassment and discrimination. We appreciate Riot's introspection and work since 2018 toward becoming a more diverse and inclusive company.” Sounds like things might be moving in the right direction.
Stray has been taking the world by storm ever since the game was released last week. The latest development is that players have been modding their own pets into the game and attracting a lot of attention in the process. I don’t know about you, but I can totally see the appeal, except for the fact that I have an orange tabby cat which looks remarkably similar to the main character. Should make for an easy mod at least.
