Decades ago, a Dragon Ball film introduced a character namedTurles, who was a Saiyan once completely identical to Goku yet entirely cruel and villainous. This fearsome foe makes his return in Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultra God Mission. Not only does he mark his reappearance with a victory over another Saiyan, but Turles comes back with a complete redesign and overhaul to his character. The evil Saiyan from Dragon Ball Z: Tree of Might seems as if he’s here to stay in Ultra God Mission’s Super Space Time Tournament.
Most of Dragon Ball Z’s early movies, with the exception of Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone, featured movie -xclusive villains who were one-off and one-note antagonists. Hailing from the third film, Dragon Ball Z; Tree of Might, Turles is a vengeful Saiyan from the outer regions of space. Once a low ranking Saiyan warrior in Frieza’s army, Turles split off from the galactic emperor and formed his own band of rogue mercenaries, setting off to destroy entire civilizations and enslave planets all on their own.

In Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultra God Mission chapter 3, Turles from an unrevealed timeline returns to participate in the Super Space-Time Tournament. The Super Space-Time Tournament is a parallel to Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power, featuring teams of warriors from several different timelines. Turles himself is introduced as the “Evil and Proud Saiyan” and hails from Team 5. When introduced, Turles immediately finds himself in conflict with Team 10’s Raditz.
