Bandai Namco has revealed that Dragon Ball: The Breakers will release on October 14, with a closed network test coming next month. Dragon Ball: The Breakers is the latest video game in the franchise, but unlike the majority of its predecessors, this one isn’t focused on multiplayer battles. Similar to Dead by Daylight, Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a multiplayer game that tasks a team of Survivors with completing objectives and escaping the threat of an overwhelmingly powerful Raider.
The Survivors are plain civilians who have been trapped in a “Temporal Seam” where time and space are jumbled. There, they’ll have to use gadgets like Transpheres, which temporarily give them the abilities of Dragon Ball characters, to aid their escape. The ultimate goal for survivors is to escape before the Raider, a player-controlled villain, can become an even deadlier threat.

The closed network test will feature Frieza and Cell as playable Raiders. On the Survivor side, Avatar, Bulma Survivor Skin, and Oolong Survivor Skin will be available to play. An open beta will take place at a later date, but Bandai Namco has not confirmed when this will be.
For anyone looking to preorder Dragon Ball: The Breakers, it’ll have three editions. The standard edition contains an Android 18 Transphere with a Scouter (Blue) accessory and Wall Kick skill as pre-order bonuses. The limited edition is exclusive to Bandai Namco’s store and features a steel book, a Cell Shell Figure, 3 Raider stickers, and a Potara (Green) accessory. Finally, the special edition
