Broken Ranks Turns Up The Heat In Next Update's New Map
Broken Ranks players are going to face the heat soon, as an update releasing next week brings the fiery volcano area, Hvar’s Wastelands. While this update was teased but delayed previously, we’re getting more information on what players can come to expect when this update drops—and it’s pretty damned soon.
The new map, Hvar’s Wastelands, is the land of the titular lord of the volcano. Players meet the master smith Vendar, who lost everything and made a deal with Hvar to regain the resources to do the work—but at a price, it seems.
Hvar’s Wasteland promises tons of new opportunities for Broken Ranks players, including:
- new opponents, including champions and an elite
- new activities — tasks, a dynamic event, and a daily quest
- a new instance with Hvar as the main boss
- new rare gear
- new boss-specific quest
The Broken Ranksblog previews a slew of new enemies to face, as well as the possible loot for beating Hvar: a two-handed axe, magical vambraces, physical vambraces, and physical gloves.
To access this new area, players must travel to the Dmorther Garrison; the quest for the Hvar boss instance requires level 90. Enemies in the Path of Adventure are levels 90-130, and those in the Path of Challenge are 120-140.
The Broken Ranks update is dropping January 14 to keep things hot. There’ll also be a “two-layered world map that will allow you to switch to a separate Thalia map” coming with this update.
