The new Bosch: Legacy trailer sees star Titus Welliver return in the spinoff of Amazon Prime's Bosch. Bosch and the new spinoff series are based on novels by Michael Connelly, with Bosch: Legacy loosely based on the book, The Wrong Side of Goodbye. Bosch is Amazon Prime's longest-running series, spanning seven seasons before ending its run in 2021. The series saw Welliver playing the title character, L.A.P.D. homicide detective Harry Bosch. Welliver is reprising the role for Bosch: Legacy alongside Mimi Rogers and Madison Lintz, picking up the story following the end of the original series.
The new trailer for Bosch: Legacy, shared on YouTube by IMDb TV, sees Harry Bosch now working as a private detective after quitting the L.A.P.D. in the original series finale. Bosch is also seen working with Rogers' Honey Chandler, a former enemy, who is after the man who tried to kill her. The trailer even embraces the legacy present in the show's title, featuring Lintz's Maddie Bosch, Harry's daughter, working as a police officer, following in her father's footsteps. Bosch: Legacy is set to air exclusively on Amazon Freevee, a free streaming service formerly known as IMDb TV. The series will debut on May 6, releasing the first four episodes, with two episodes released weekly thereafter through May 27. In anticipation of the new spinoff, Amazon will also make all seven seasons of Bosch available to watch on Freevee beginning April 22, allowing audiences to catch up on the show.
