Adam Driver is set to star in Francis Ford Coppola's next film Megalopolis leading an all-star cast. Coppola is one of the most celebrated and famous directors in Hollywood history having crafted some of the most iconic movies including The Godfather trilogy, Apocalypse Now, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and many more. The director is now betting everything he has on another passion project, a film titled Megalopolis.
According to THR, Megalopolis has cast Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Nathalie Emmanuel (Furious 7), Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix), Jon Voight (Midnight Cowboy), and Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland). This will mark Fisburne's second Coppola movie as one of the actor's first acting roles was in Apocalypse Now. Both Whitaker and Voight had previously been reported for being considered for the movie when the project was first announced.

Set in modern-day New York but told like a grand epic similar to Ben-Hur, Coppola is self-financing Megalopolis himself which reportedly has a budget that ranges from $100 to $120 million dollars. Coppola had sold his winery to help fund the film and at the time was looking at stars like Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, and Cate Blanchett. Most recently Robert Duvall, who has starred in four of Coppola's films, said Christian Bale was being considered for the lead role. While it appears many of those actors were busy with other projects, Coppola still managed to grab a highly talented cast and all of the performers involved are certainly more than grateful to work alongside a Hollywood legend.
