Warning! SPOILERS for The Book of Boba Fett.
The Book of Boba Fett was a divisive show that completely ignored one of the best stories about the Fett legacy to take inspiration from, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. The series was reprimanded by some for its betrayal of the character of Boba Fett, with many arguing that the show reduced him to a background character, especially after 2 episodes were fully dedicated to extending the story of The Mandalorian. Instead, Jon Favreau would have been wise to take inspiration from an underrated Star Wars story, from a lesser-known video game.
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter was released for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube way back in 2002. It starred Jango Fett, Boba's father, and even saw Temuera Morrison reprise his role from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The story developed Fett and showed his more humane side, much like The Book of Boba Fett did with Boba. The game saw Jango grow as a person as he learned to open up alongside his Toydarian companion, Roz, and his eventual protégé, Zam Wesell. Alongside making Boba weaker,The Book of Boba Fett also developed the character, transforming him from a ruthless bounty hunter to a merciful crime lord. This came about after he was taken in by a tribe of Tusken Raiders.

Many were frustrated by The Book of Boba Fett's handling of its main character, and the showrunners would have been wise to take more than a few tips from Bounty Hunter.
