As Bloodbornefans continue to ask for a next-gen remaster or PC port of the game, one YouTube channel has shown what the beloved FromSoftware game would look like in the 4K resolution that many feel it deserves. The brutally difficult, terrifying 2016 game has lived on in the hearts and minds of players since its release, and interest in it has appeared to slightly resurface with the release of Elden Ring this year. One Elden Ring player even recreated a Bloodborne boss in-game, paying tribute to FromSoftware's earlier game.
Bloodborne is rather unique in the broader scope of FromSoftware games. While the setting and combat system of the game may not be as wildly different as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the overall aesthetic of the game, along with its tone and lore, stand out from the rest of the studio's esteemed catalog. Bloodborne players take on the role of a Hunter, an amnesiac character who wanders Victorian-style streets full of Gothic architecture, out for blood. This is how the game begins, but things quickly take a turn for the bizarre and uncanny, with the player exploring dense forests, nightmarish cliffsides, and snowy castles. Because of the game's stunning and diverse visuals, many fans have been practically begging for an upscaled release over the past few years. An insider teased a PS5 and PC release of Bloodborne a few weeks ago, but no official news has been released.
