Thanks to a leaked image of the Black Adam Funko Pop! figures, a first look at the DC Comics villain Sabbac has been revealed. One of the most anticipated arrivals to the DCEU is the character of Black Adam. Dwayne Johnson was cast as Teth-Adam all the way back in September 2014 when he was initially going to star in Shazam! as the primary antagonist. However, those plans eventually evolved into the DC villain being reimagined as an anti-hero that would star in his own film, including a Black Adam origin story, before clashing with Billy Batson's heroic alter ego.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam centers around Teth-Adam's time as a slave in Kahndaq before getting his iconic powers and becoming Shazam's greatest nemesis. After several years of development, Black Adam finally went into principal photography in April 2021, as the film is now ready to arrive in theaters this year. While initially slated to release on July 29, 2022, Warner Bros. retooled the schedule and has slated Black Adam for October 21. Not only will this serve as Black Adam's DCEU debut, but the movie will also see the introduction of the Justice Society of America.
