This week has been a real mixed bag for video game news. There's been lots of it, but unlike recent weeks where most has come from one event like Summer Game Fest or a State of Play, it has been scattered evenly over the last seven days.
Someone accidentally revealed Marvel's Avengers' next hero, a Lollipop Chainsaw remake was revealed, and Skull And Bones was re-revealed, or should that be re-re-revealed? I've lost track. Plus, the most exciting news of all, and where we will kick things off this week, we finally know when Ragnarok will be here. No, for real this time.

God Of War Ragnarok was one of the many games expected to be here in 2022. However, a combination of almost every other game announced for this year getting delayed and rumored release dates ranging from September to any point in the first half of 2023, Kratos fans feared the worst. But this week, PlayStation finally put our minds at ease. Ragnarok's release date was confirmed to be November 9, 2022, thus confirming Elden Ring might have some Game of the Year competition after all. Plus, if you opt for the special edition, you'll get your very own Mjolnir.
It has been a very, very long time coming, but Ubisoft has finally confirmed Skull And Bones is almost here. The studio re-revealed the live service pirate game this week, showing off gameplay and even giving those who have been waiting years for this game a release date. November 8, 2022. Bad news for those of you who love pirates but also plan on picking up Ragnarok the next day. We will likely see a lot more of Skull And Bones during September's Ubisoft Forward which was also announced this week.
