Paloma Aguilar is speaking out for the first time since exiting Big Brother season 24 for personal reasons. Big Brother has caused controversy this season, with numerous houseguests, including Paloma, being accused of racial biases and microaggressions towards former beauty queen Taylor Hale, an African American woman. Paloma quickly targeted Taylor on a personal level due to her spending time with the male houseguests, and Paloma immediately pitted all of the girls against Taylor. Taylor has avoided elimination despite being nominated twice.
Paloma, a 22-year-old interior designer from San Marcos, California, was extremely popular amongst her fellow houseguests. She formed multiple alliances, but her closest ally was Alyssa Snider, with whom she made a final two pact on the first night. As the first week went on, Paloma's mental health started to deteriorate due to a lack of sleep and high anxiety. Several houseguests expressed concern about Paloma's well-being. On day 8 of the game, the houseguests learned that Paloma had left Big Brother for personal reasons. They reacted very emotionally and wished her well as she went home. Because of Paloma's exit, there was no eviction during the first week, and every houseguest was safe for the week.
