A fan-made box art mockup reimagined AMC's Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul as an Ace Attorney adventure game from Capcom. Created by Dino Crisis veteran Shu Takumi, Ace Attorney centralizes legal drama with visual novel mechanics for an experience structured around the premise of being a defense attorney. The first entry, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, hit store shelves for the Game Boy Advance in 2001. Capcom has since published multiple sequels and several spinoff titles, quite a few of which have launched on other consoles and mobile devices.
Talented members of the gaming community think up creative mockups on an almost regular basis, making their dreams come to life in fan art or mods that showcase that which will never come to pass. One recent example involved graphic designer Rock Rider imagining an Injustice 3-style roster filled with Marvel heroes and villains, including the likes of Spider-Man, Kingpin, Captain Marvel, and Black Widow. Fans have even gone so far as to turn mockups into real products, as seen with YouTuber GingerOfOz' portable and functional GameCube console.
