The Pokémon Company has delivered another record financial year thanks to a deluge of game releases including Pokémon Snap, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
As reported by Dr. Serkan Toto, the CEO of Japan-focused game consultancy Katan Games Inc, sales at The Pokémon Company increased by 70.4 percent year-on-year to $1.6 billion.
Operating profit rose by 115 percent to $460 million, and net profit increased by 123 percent to $320 million.
Although The Pokémon Company isn't obliged to report those numbers due to its status as a private company, the figures were made public via a filing published in the Japanese government's official gazette.
According to Toto, those aforementioned game releases are a "major reason" for The Pokémon Company's success. It'll be interesting to see how the Japanese company fares during the current fiscal year, which will see it release new mainline Pokémon titles for the Nintendo Switch, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
