AMC releases a Better Call Saul season 6 video highlighting the long six-week wait for part 2. After an extended hiatus due to COVID-19-related delays and lead star Bob Odenkirk's on-set heart attack, Better Call Saul finally returned on April 18. The majority of the sixth and final season has followed two disparate storylines – Gus Fring cleans up after his failed assassination attempt against Lalo Salamanca and patiently awaits his return to Albuquerque, while Jimmy McGill and Kim Wexler enact their plan to ruin Howard Hamlin's career.
Over the course of the first six episodes, these storylines remained separate before converging during the mid-season finale. Jimmy and Kim's master plan to frame Howard as a hysterical drug addict comes to a head in episode 7 at the Sandpiper mediation hearing. After their plan works perfectly, Howard visits Jimmy and Kim at their apartment to confront the couple about their devious actions but is completely unprepared for who shows up next – Lalo. The Better Call Saul midseason finale ends on a shocking cliffhanger that left viewers immediately wanting to see what happens next, but alas, a weeks-long wait is ahead.
