The addition of Brewster's café, the Roost, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons was a welcome addition for many players, but the next Animal Crossing game needs to do it better. Since the release of New Horizons, players were looking forward to the addition of Brewster's Roost, which was added with Update 2.0. The Roost was a prominent feature in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and was also present in Wild World and City Folk.
Brewster's café was first introduced in Animal Crossing: Wild World where players could go and have a cup of coffee, listen to K.K. Slider concerts on Saturdays, and store their gyroids. In New Leaf, the Roost expanded its services to include coffee customization and even allowed the player to work a part-time job. New Horizons dialed back the Roost services closer to the levels of Wild World. The Roost has been different throughout the Animal Crossing series and will hopefully be present — and improved upon — in future games.

Players deserve more when it comes to Brewster and his famous Animal Crossing café. In New Horizons, players can head to Brewster's to purchase a cup of coffee, invite amiibos or friends online to the Roost, and sometimes see NPCs sitting at the bar or ordering coffee to go. This, and the few gifts that Brewster gives players when they have visited him repeatedly, is the extent of Brewster's Roost in New Horizons.
Players of Animal Crossing deserve to at least have a Brewster's Roost with the play options they were given in New Leaf.
