An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player recently received an unwelcome surprise by discovering that Brewster and his cafe, The Roost, had completely disappeared from their island, likely due to a game glitch. The Roost was one of the game's many additions in its last big 2.0 update towards the end of 2021. After the announcement of the update, longtime Animal Crossing fans were particularly eager to be able to finally visit their favorite pigeon barista once again. Although some players believe that Brewster and hisACNH cafe deserve improvements, fans were initially delighted by seeing not only their favorite villagers but other island NPCs, such as Celeste and Resetti, mingling in the cafe.
During the previous Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct back in October 2021, when the final update was announced, Brewster's Roost was finally revealed along with different cafe features that had yet to be seen in previous versions of Animal Crossing. These new details include players being able to order takeaway coffee and use Amiibo cards to invite off-island villagers. While the beloved minigames of previous AC releases haven't come to the latest installment in the series, players can at least invite their real-life friends over for a cup of coffee that may or may not contain some infamousACNH pigeon milk.
