Samsung is reportedly prepping to introduce a new 'Bora Purple' colorway for the Galaxy S22 series. While most phones typically come in a handful of colors, many manufacturers give their flagship devices a mid-life upgrade by introducing new colorways. The companies believe this keeps the device fresh and sustains its appeal among consumers. OnePlus is known to introduce new colors for its flagship phones every now and then, and the policy seems to pay rich dividends for the company. Now Samsung is also seemingly looking to take a leaf out of the OnePlus book and offer its current flagships in a refreshed avatar.
The Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra were unveiled at Samsung's big 'Galaxy Unpacked' event back in February, and they've since been released worldwide. While the Snapdragon-powered variants were launched in the U.S. and South Korea, the Exynos models made their way across Europe and much of Asia. The lineup is led by the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which replaces the Galaxy Note as Samsung's most premium phablet after the South Korean firm decided to pull down the curtains on its Galaxy Note Lineup. The S22 Ultra comes with all the best features of the Galaxy Note series, including a built-in stylus. The lineup also includes the Galaxy S22 Plus, as well as the vanilla Galaxy S22.

In August, Samsung is expected to unveil its next-gen foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4. However, those may not be the only smartphones announced at next month's event. Alongside those two devices, Samsung might also introduce a new colorway for the Galaxy S22 series. That's according to WinFuture's Roland Quandt, who says the Galaxy S22
