Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is launching on August 10 at the Galaxy Unpacked event and ahead of that, we were expecting leaks to spoil the party. And we weren't wrong – before Samsung took apart the curtains, tipsters have been sourcing the official renders of the phone along with the specifications and even the prices. Hence, we know that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is unlikely to be largely different from the Flip 3. Is that good or bad? That's for you to decide.
The latest leak reveals a bunch of official renders of the Flip 4, showing the phone's flexible display as well its outer shell. Spoiler alert – it looks almost the same as the Galaxy Z Flip 3. It has the kind of design as the Flip 3 with the same dual-tone design, a large Cover Display, a set of dual cameras, and the same kind of hinge design. The colour variants appear to be similar too but there are new names to them.
Previous rumours have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be coming in these four colours – Graphite, Pink Gold, Bora Purple, and Blue. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which is supposed to be more powerful and efficient than the 8 Gen 1. Hence, we could expect to see better battery life on the Galaxy Z Flip 3, which was notorious for its poor battery life figures.
Other than that, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is coming with a similar 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and folding from the center. The Cover Display is now a 2.1-inch AMOLED display which is accompanied by a dual 12 MP camera setup. For selfies and video calls, there is a 10 MP camera inside.
