Actor Giancarlo Esposito reveals that he's met with Marvel about a potential role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Esposito has been acting since the late 1970s, but he really came to mainstream prominence when he landed the role of Gus Fring on Breaking Bad, which saw him nominated for an Oustanding Supporting Actor Emmy. Since then, he has had roles in numerous major shows and films, including the Maze Runner franchise, The Boys, The Mandalorian, Better Call Saul, and he even recently played the villain in the video game Far Cry 6.
Marvel has been having a successful year at the box office in 2022, riding high on the wake of last year's Spider-Man: No Way Home. The MCU has seen two more films released since, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder. And while those films had a mixed reception from critics and audiences, the box office returns for each have been on par with Marvel's bankable track record. However, Marvel isn't resting on its laurels, mapping out the MCU through 2025 at San Diego Comic-Con. With so many projects in the works, Marvel Studios likely has numerous high-profile roles to cast.
