Every Rumored Game for the September 2022 Nintendo Direct

Nintendo has yet to confirm a Direct presentation this month, but for many fans, it might as well be set in stone. Nintendo has hosted a Direct every September for the past six years, and skipping once now makes little sense. There are still quite a few third-party games fans want to see showcased, while very little of Nintendo's plans for 2023 are known.

Accompanying this is a handful of expectations thanks to recent rumors. Insider Jeff Grubb, for example, has heard that it will take place during the week of September 12. He's also heard that the show is set up to be a big Direct, describing it as a «Zelda blowout» and not like a simple third-party direct. This is no doubt exciting for fans, but there's also likely more to be there than justZelda, even if it does potentially include Breath of the Wild 2 news. In fact, recent rumors suggest at least four ports will be announced, two of which are not related to Zelda.

The first two are mentioned by name by Grubb, so anything beyond these two is pure speculation. Two ports hardly define a "Zelda blowout," however, and so fans will likely get more than these two as well, if these rumors are legit. There's no reason to doubt Grubb, who has been right numerous times in the past, but still it's worth remembering to take everything here with a grain of salt. The other two games, for example, do not come from Grubb but other potential leaks.
