Every month, new fish, sea creatures, and bugs become available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons depending on which hemisphere players are in. In some instances, only one hemisphere gets new critters to find and catch, but usually, players in either location can participate in any upcoming events. Active months for any creature can be viewed in the Critterpedia via the NookPhone.
