Cold Stone Creamery has teamed up with Nintendo to release new special ice cream flavors based on Kirby and the Forgotten Land,Mario Party Superstars, andAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. Cold Stone Creamery has done several sponsored inspired sweets before, including but not limited to the "Great Blue" cupcake and "Shark Week Frenzy" ice cream flavor for Discovery Channel's Shark Week.
This is not the first time Cold Stone Creamery has invented ice cream treats for Nintendo. In 2020, in order to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros, Cold Stone created the "Mario’s Super Birthday Blast" ice cream flavor. There was also the "Mario's Super Star Shake", and finally the ice cream cake called in a "Rainbow Road Rally", based on Mario Kart's toughest track. Each item contained both cake batter flavored ice cream and actual yellow cake, along with blue frosting and sprinkles.

Cold Stone Creamery, as reported by Nintendo Life, is selling three new flavors of ice cream that each represent a different game available for the Nintendo Switch. For Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the flavor is called "The Mighty Pink Puff" and contains strawberry ice cream, strawberries, mini marshmallows, and caramel. The Mario Party Superstars flavor is called "Superstar Sprinkle Blast". Similar to "Mario's Super Birthday Blast" this flavor has cake batter ice cream, yellow cake, blue frosting, and rainbow sprinkles. The flavor for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is named "Island Getaway", and is made with chocolate ice cream, strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream toppings.
