The January 2021-announced Indiana Jones game developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks will be exclusive to Xbox on console, Bethesda Softworks vice president Pete Hines confirmed during questioning in the Microsoft vs. Federal Trade Commission case over the approval of Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
According to Hines, the original deal it signed with Disney for the production of an Indiana Jones game was for multiple consoles.
According to the Federal Trade Commission, the deal was amended following the completion of Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda Softworks parent company Zenimax Media to be Xbox-only for consoles.
