Microsoft is currently in court due to its ongoing dispute with the FTC over its attempted acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The FTC is arguing that it could damage competition within the games industry if Microsoft were to make the majority of Activision Blizzard's games exclusive to Xbox consoles, pointing to Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda and its many studios back in 2021 as proof of the company's intentions.
We've already heard that Microsoft allegedly stopped Redfall from coming to other consoles (which may have been a blessing in hindsight), but it's now been revealed that the company did something similar with the Indiana Jones game that's currently in development at Wolfenstein studio MachineGames. First shared by Stephen Totilo of Axios Gaming, Bethesda's senior vice president of global marketing & communications Pete Hines told the FTC's lawyers that Disney had originally set up a contract with the company for the Indiana Jones game to launch on PlayStation consoles too.

The FTC claims that the contract was then amended after Xbox's acquisition of Bethesda parent company ZeniMax Media, suggesting that Indiana Jones is yet another title that Microsoft has deliberately stopped coming to PlayStation systems. While most people thought that this Indiana Jones game was going to be exclusive anyway, it's contradictory to Xbox head Phil Spencer's constant comments about acquisitions not being intended to take games away from other platforms.
Whether this has any bearing on Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard remains to be seen, though it's definitely not a good look. It could easily be argued that Microsoft has plenty of incentive to make
