The first Starfield gameplay was shown during an in-depth reveal of Bethesda‘s sci-fi RPG during Sunday’s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.
Bethesda’s Todd Howard introduced the 15-minute gameplay reveal below, which features a section early in the title after players arrive on the mysterious moon of Kreet.
The footage was used to close out Sunday’s 95-minute Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.

Bethesda said there will be 1,000 planets to visit in the game. It also provided a look at character customisation options and revealed that players can build their own spaceships and outposts.
Last month Bethesda delayed the Starfield and Redfall release dates from this year to 2023.
“We’ve made the decision to delay the launches of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023,” it said.
“The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them.
“We want to thank everyone for their excitement for Redfall and Starfield. That energy is a huge part of what inspires all of us every day and drives our own excitement for what we are creating,” it added.
