Batman Arkham Trilogy Alights On Switch This December
Batman Arkham Trilogy has been delayed to December of this year on the Nintendo Switch.
As reported by Video Games Chronicle, this port that bundles in Batman Arkham Asylum, Batman Arkham City, and Batman Arkham Knight, is being handled by Turn Me Up Games. This studio also made the stellar ports of It Takes Two, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, and Borderlands Legendary Collection to the platform.
The official Batman Arkham Twitter account shared this message in a tweet:
“Batman: Arkham Trilogy for Nintendo Switch will now launch on December 1, 2023.
More time is needed to bring players the best possible experience on Nintendo Switch. We apologise to fans who are excited to play this version of the trilogy. Thank you for your patience.”
They had originally announced a release date of October 13, 2023.
We don’t know what technical issues, if any, that Turn Me Up Games ran into when they were making this port of the Batman Arkham games. However, if you have played any of the ports of the games they made, you will likely agree that it would definitely be worth the wait to have this studio run their magic and make great ports of these games as well.
The most likely candidate for a difficult port among the three would be Batman Arkham Knight. This latter game is significantly newer compared to the others. Batman Arkham Knight was released in 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
Having said that, we have seen the phenomenon of ‘impossible ports’ of games to the Nintendo Switch as well, such as The Witcher 3 and Doom Eternal.
