Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 5 Will be Included on Disc for both PS5 and Xbox Series
The retail version of Baldur's Gate 3 will ship with the upcoming patch #5 on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
As covered yesterday, the game's fifth major patch will be rolled out across PC and PS5 later this week. This patch will address the apparent slowdown issues among other things. Good to know is that this major update will be included with the upcoming boxed versions of the title, which are planned to be released in the first quarter of 2024 across PS5 and Xbox. As previously covered, the PS5 version of Baldur's Gate 3 will play across two discs, while the Xbox Series version play across three separate discs. Larian's Director of Publishing, Michael Douse, confirmed the inclusion of patch 5 on disc via X (formerly Twitter) some hours ago.
"The Xbox retail version, which plays across 3 discs, will ship with Patch 5 on disc", Douse wrote. "Which is really good news. These things have lead times, as you know. Working on the exact version for PlayStation 5."
