Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 has received extensive acclaim since launching on PC and PS5. While the developer focuses on improving performance and adding other features, like cross-platform multiplayer, it’s also working to bring the RPG to Xbox Series X/S this year.
Director Swen Vincke said it might arrive between September and November, but considering October is almost up, it’s understandable if some are skeptical. If it’s any consolation, the plan to release before 2023 ends is still in place, per Michael Douse, Larian Studios’ director of publishing, on Twitter.
Baldur’s Gate 3 skipped launching on Xbox alongside the PS5 version due to issues with split-screen co-op on Xbox Series S. The feature will only be available to Xbox Series X players when the game launches later this year, but Series S could still receive split-screen post-launch. Stay tuned for more details and announcements, and check out our review for the PS5 and PC versions in the meantime.
Before the end of the year is the plan. This has been said a few times but dudes with 33k twitter followers keep talking shit for likes.
