Former lead of The Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe has revealed that she is not pleased with Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia having to share a season, expressing that she believes they both deserved their own. Kaitlyn was the lead of The Bachelorette season 11, where she and Britt Nielson both met all of the men on night one, who then voted on which woman they wished to keep as their lead. The men ultimately chose Kaitlyn, which resulted in Britt being sent home.
Kaitlyn later went on to host The Bachelorette seasons 17 and 18 led by Katie Thurston and Michelle Young, alongside Tayshia Adams. While both Katie and Michelle appeared on The Bachelor season 25 led by Matt James, they were each given their own season of The Bachelorette. On the other hand, while both Gabby and Rachel appeared on The Bachelor season 26 led by Clayton Echard, they were chosen to share a season instead of both girls receiving their own as Katie and Michelle did.

Kaitlyn has recently shared her thoughts on Gabby and Rachel's season, when she appeared on the People's Every Day Podcast. Kaitlyn stated that while she adored both Gabby and Rachel, she felt that it would have been more fair to give both girls their own respective seasons. Kaitlyn said, "...they're not setting them up for success by saying you're all dating all of the same guys." Since Gabby and Rachel's co-season was first announced, Bachelor Nation fans have worried about all of the complications the joint season could cause, such as both women potentially falling hard for the same man.
