ASUS has officially unveiled its brand new GeForce RTX 4090 ROG Matrix graphics card which it calls the most powerful RTX 4090 design to date.
According to ASUS, the GeForce RTX 4090 ROG Matrix is the most premium Ada design they have ever built. It makes use of a seamless metal frame that features a beautiful shroud design that houses no fans on the top of the shroud but does come with a tiny blower fan within the whole containment. All of the cooling on the card is provided by an AIO solution that comes with a 360mm AIO.
ASUS mentions that they are using the best binned AD102 GPUs from NVIDIA within this card which makes it run at the fastest clock speeds of all RTX 4090 GPUs on the market (at the time of launch).
For fans, ASUS is using the new ROG MF-12S ARGB series fans which come with a magnetic connector and can easily be daisy chained together for ease of operation. These are the same fans used on the Ryujin III coolers that were announced recently. The cold plate covers the VRM and memory too with a custom-engineered design, negating the use of a fan on the main shroud for cooling. The company is also using liquid metal which means this is their first standalone GPU to use such a TIM.
No reason to beat around the bush: the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 has the highest boost clocks of any RTX 4090 on the planet. Featuring a custom-engineered coldplate that captures heat not only from the RTX 4090 GPU die, but also the VRMs and memory chips, this card has even more headroom to push its clocks higher, for longer, allowing us to bin only the absolute best dies for this showpiece graphics card. In addition, the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 features an ROG first: liquid metal thermal compound on a graphics card.
